The Avila Beach Marine Institute is a treasure for any community to have as a resource for learning about the sea. Located at the corner of Avila Beach Drive and San Juan St. in Avila Beach, next to the park where you can picnic and play basketball. SEA U, the Institute’s marine education program, hosts the summer camp for kids 8-12, begins June 22 through July 31 from 9am-3pm, with marine touch tanks, nautical knot tying, water chemistry, treasure hunts and more!
